difference in performance of the different realisations, no tracks connecting the couplers
together or connecting the couplers to ports are included in these realisations.
The number of tracks in the Lange coupler can be varied and the performance optimized
by varying the width, length and spacing of the fingers. This optimization shows that a
five track Lange coupler has less difference between S21 and S31 than three track or
seven track Lange couplers. Figure 4.63 shows the resulting magnitude response and
figure 4.64 shows the corresponding phase response.
